About Shanley

I grew up in my parents' garment factory. Before I ever studied design, I knew what a production floor sounds like — and what it costs when a spec is wrong.

I spent the next 25+ years leading design and product development for some of the biggest names in American apparel — most recently heading design for $1B denim and workwear brands, running product from trend research to buy meeting with factory partners across ten countries. Along the way: growing a European retailer's core knitwear business 25%, designing 40% of a Macy's private label, teaching design and denim construction at Academy of Art University for eight years, and running my own consulting studio for fashion startups.

The pattern under all of it: I grow apparel businesses. Design is how I do it. Profit is what I'm after.

Somewhere in those 25 years, I got tired of watching creative time disappear into manual work — tech packs, BOMs, spec reviews, endless spreadsheets. So I built software and shipped the AI apps I always wished existed. Four of them now take a product from market research all the way to launch. No dev team, no agency — just me, Claude Code & Codex, and a very long list of things I never wanted to do by hand again.

Today I work with fashion founders and brands two ways: I advise on product operations — the calendars, tech packs, factories, and margins that decide whether you make money — and my apps do the heavy lifting.
